Study on the Surface Settlement of an Overlying Soft Soil Layer under the Action of an Earthquake at a Subway Tunnel Engineering Site

In order to study the surface settlement characteristics of an overlying soft soil layer in a subway tunnel under seismic loading, ABAQUS finite-element analysis software was utilized. Taking construction Dalian Metro Line 5, which is located intensity zone Ⅶ and has layer, as engineering background, El-Centro Kobe waves representing class Ⅱ site waves, well artificial wave with exceedance probability 10%, were inputted into analysis. The ground at three different investigated, their behaviors theoretically analyzed. Then, law respect roof studied based on parameters, sensitivity parameters carried out by orthogonal test method. results show that earthquake action, strata within certain range significantly greater than surrounding strata, forming trough width about 8 20 m. largest, 19.6 m, surpassing artificially synthesized 15.6 while smallest, 8.5 m above most strongly affected special lithology largest. conformed Peck formula.
